To further strengthen our Corporate Unit we are looking for a:   Manager Export Control (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • Conducting sanctions and compliance screening
  • Assessing export classifications and licensing requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with EU, US and other applicable export control regulations
  • Managing and securing communication with BAFA, customs authorities, and other regulatory agencies, applying for and tracking general and export licenses   
  • Maintaining Export Compliance Policies, ICPs, decision trees, and other templates
  • Handling audits, due diligences, and regulatory reporting
  • Coordinating and conducting compliance trainings and awareness initiatives
  • Supporting ESG and associated corporate compliance objectives
  • Assessing compliance risks within supply chains and customer/partner structures
  • Maintaining an audit-proof documentation system/archive and reviewing sanctions lists

Support the legal team in related legal matters in an independent and self-reliant manner

Your profile:

  • Successfully concluded legal studies, business administration or comparable education or a commercial apprenticeship with several years of relevant professional experience in the field of export control
  • At least 4-5 years of professional experience in export control, trade compliance, legal compliance, customs, or regulatory affairs
  • Experience with international export regulations, dual use regulation and authority interaction
  • IT industry experience preferred
    • Knowledge of national and international export control regulations customs laws and related laws and regulations
    • Understanding of OFAC, sanctions compliance, Anti-Torture Regulation, and Firearms Regulation
    • Familiarity with BAFA and customs procedures
    • Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities, focus on processes and results
    • Experience with compliance processes, audits, and policy management
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to work independently and with a high degree of self-reliance and resilience
    • Business fluent English
    Familiarity with registration portals and relevant software, e.g. SAP
