To further strengthen our Corporate Unit we are looking for a:   Linux Systems Engineer DE

Your tasks:

  • Oversee and maintain Linux environments across global data centers, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters to support scalable and resilient services.
  • Drive automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, leveraging Ansible and similar tools.
  • Utilize tools like Sensu, OpsGenie, and Grafana Loki to monitor system health, performance, and logs.
  • Apply security best practices (e.g., firewallD, SELinux, OpenSCAP) and contribute to identity management using FreeIPA.
  • Operate and maintain Utimaco's cybersecurity platform, ensuring seamless service delivery within the data center environment.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience, with proven expertise as a Linux DevOps Engineer in Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Advanced Linux administration skills and familiarity with global data center environments, security concepts, and fail-over strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools, especially Ansible, and a strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging technologies, ideally Sensu, Grafana Loki, and OpsGenie.
  • Solid knowledge of IDM technologies like FreeIPA, along with security hardening practices.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication, teamwork capabilities, and excellent documentation skills.
