To further strengthen our Corporate Unit we are looking for a:   Backend Software Developer – Java Application Containerization

Your tasks:

• Analyze an existing monolithic Java/Tomcat application and define the migration strategy toward containerized deployment
• Refactor code, configurations, and dependencies to make the application container-ready and cloud-native compliant (stateless design, environment variables, configuration management)
• Optimize the application for scalability and resilience in OpenShift or Kubernetes environments
• Design and implement inter-process communication mechanisms (including socket-based integrations) in the new architecture
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate application containers with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Ensure logging, monitoring, and security best practices are embedded in the migrated application

Your profile:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java
• Strong understanding of Tomcat and traditional Java EE or Spring-based architectures
• Proven experience migrating applications to containers (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift), as well as Linux, MySQL and troubleshooting distributed applications
• Deep knowledge of networking concepts and experience working with sockets and low-level communication
• Familiarity with microservices principles, REST APIs, and inter-service communication
• Knowledge in Java build tool (Maven/Gradle)
