Your tasks:

A software developers role is to design, create, test, and maintain software applications or systems. Software developers play a crucial role in the development lifecycle of software, contributing to various stages such as requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and debugging. Their primary goal is to build reliable and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of users or clients.

Your profile:

  1. Software Development:
    • Writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality code for software applications.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to create software solutions.
    • Analyzing end-users' needs and designing software to meet those needs.
  2. Programming Languages:
    • Strong proficiency in C/C++, with fair knowledge of the language specification
    • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C/C++ code
    • Good working knowledge of Python
  3. Problem Solving:
    • Identifying and troubleshooting software defects or issues.
    • Developing solutions to complex problems in the software development process.
  4. Code Reviews:
    • Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  5. Documentation:
    • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for software development projects, including design documents, user manuals, and API documentation.
  6. Version Control:
    • Using version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes in the codebase.
  7. Testing:
    • Writing and executing unit tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of the software.
    • Collaborating with quality assurance (QA) teams to perform system testing and address identified issues.
  8. Continuous Learning:
    • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software development.
  9. Agile Development:
    • Working in Agile or other iterative development methodologies, participating in sprint planning, and delivering incremental updates.
  10. Communication:
    • Communicating effectively with team members, stakeholders, and sometimes clients to understand requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  11. Security:
    • Implementing secure coding practices and considering security aspects during the development process.
  12. Performance Optimization:
    • Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in software applications.
