To further strengthen our Corporate Unit we are looking for a:   Senior Hardware Developer

Your tasks:

  • Xilinx FPGA Programming & Diagnostics: Write, implement, and maintain Xilinx FPGA logic specifically for board bring-up, diagnostics, and system health tests (e.g., voltage/temperature monitoring, self-tests).

  • Altium Hardware Design: Lead schematic capture and high-speed PCB layout using Altium Designer for HSM boards.

  • Prototyping & Bring-Up: Assemble, test, and debug initial prototype boards using lab equipment and 3D-printed enclosure fits.

  • Production Support: Provide direct engineering support to manufacturing to troubleshoot yield issues, test failures, and board-level defects.

  • Embedded HW Integration: Collaborate with the team to interface low-level hardware and validate board integrity.

Your profile:

Must-Haves (Required)

  • Altium Designer Expertise: Proven track record in schematic capture and high-speed multi-layer PCB design using Altium Designer.

  • Hardware Bring-Up & Prototyping: Hands-on experience debugging new board revisions, performing lab measurements (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and initial hardware bring-up.

  • Production & Manufacturing Support: Experience supporting high-volume electronics production, resolving assembly/yield issues, and handling component obsolescence.

  • Embedded Hardware Fundamentals: Strong understanding of low-level bus interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe), power management, and microcontroller integration.

  • Education & Work Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant hands-on experience in senior hardware engineering.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Xilinx FPGA Skills: Practical experience programming Xilinx FPGAs (ability to write functional logic, integrate IP cores, and build/run board-level health and diagnostic tests).
  • 3D Printing & Mechanical Fit: Experience with 3D printing and CAD software for quick-turn enclosure, thermal, and mechanical fit checks.

  • HSM & Security Domain: Exposure to Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), tamper detection design, or cryptographic hardware standards (e.g., FIPS 140-2/3).

  • High-Speed Signal Integrity: Basic simulation experience for Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI) in high-speed board design.

  • Scripting Skills: Python, Tcl, or Bash for automating board test routines and build workflows.
